QMC DATA MINING PROGRAM for Windows SENSORERROR METER PROGRAM The SensorError Meter is designed to alert to problems with sensors. Using strategic selection in SensorError Meter designs, you will be able to pinpoint which meters are bad. The use of model/sensor "error-bands" for determining bad sensors is fundamental and has a strong statistical basis. Detail The SensorError Meter is used to detect bad sensors or to verify noisy sensor measurements. The value of functioning sensors during operations is vital in controlling any process. This tool is used to validate sensor measurements and status. Cause and effect relationships are established by modeling methods to determine statistically when sensor errors occur. Program runs continuously to log current sensor status. Reports can be user defined. Results can be used for preventive maintenance since faulty sensors can lead to improper process operation. This SensorError Meter shows the status of all sensors in a plant area, providing status for detection of problem instrumentation. Sensor ranking is determined by predicting what the meter should read under certain plant conditions and compares these predictions with actual plant readings. Sensor listings are ranked according to highest error. The percentage error is compared with the calibration results to indicate the type of error, either biased or noisy. The SensorError Meter provides rankings so the worst meters can be pinpointed and corrected. The SensorError Meter is used to determine and monitor the relationships between variables in any type of process before and during use in data auditing, control and/or optimization. Use Sensor Error Meter to monitor the variables contributing to process instability and obstructing process goals. The SensorError takes the actual plant data and builds an error band around the data. If the error band is large, more than likely you have a suspect meter. If the error band is small, the metering accuracy is not suspect.
Advanced More robust methods are included the QMC MIMT and QMC AI Programs. The QMC MIMT provides Sensor Error and Data Reconciliation. The QMC AI Program provides "Smart-Object" sensor/equipment technologies. QMC can take you to whatever level you may require. On-Line As to on line applications, the QMC Program provides the equations (code) you require for building your own C or FORTRAN executables. You will have to add some simple library calls and/or historian/DCS calls. This normally takes ~10 lines of Code. If you request this feature, it can be provided as a template. We can also work out any DDE links, as may be required. Additionally, QMC can provide automatic executable builds if needed. We just need to know your specs and requirements. System Requirements Available for: Win95/98/NT
